Mibg scan

On 28th march, edison did his 1hr MIBG scan without sedation. I asked him if he wan injection to make him sleep and he say NO!! I asked him if he can lie still for the scan and he say YES!! Praise God!! He did it !! Told me to play "how great is our God" song for him to hear during the scan. I was a bit worried my son might not able to lie still for 1hr bcos 1hr is quite long and he having runny nose and cough but i choose to have faith that he can make it and did not fast him. Praise God!! He lie still and listen to the song and doze off.  Throughout the 1hr scan...no runny nose and coughing and he sleep soo soundly. I was siting on my chair and relax and amaze edison really did it without sedation. At this moment, edmund told me tis is what God mean on last church service (easter day) and Pastor Joseph Prince say  " U sit and God take care of everything" . Amen!!

On 27th april, edison discharged from Mount E novena. He was craving for Mac. Hence we brought him to enjoy his Mac meals before admitting to orchard. See how he enjoyed!!

On 23th april, edison admitted to Mount E Novena Hospital for his MIBG therapy. This MIBG therapy for children with neuroblastoma cancer had just started 2 yrs ago. In Singapore, Mount E is the only hospital had MIBG therapy for children. Here’s how it works: MIBG is a compound linked to a radioactive molecule. “This compound is then taken up into the cancer cells, the cancer cells then pull that molecule and the radioactive iodine into the cell and kind of kill it from the inside out, “  And the best part, is that the treatment does not make edison feel very sick cos it kill cancer cells only. Unlike chemo, it kill both good and bad cells. 

Still, following the treatment, extreme precautions must be taken because the patient remains radioactive—his or her entire body.  1st day - edison feel lonely in the room and keep calling me. Me run in and out of his room. Refused to let nurse change his diaper and insist on me. As a result, my radiation is quite high on 1st day. On that nite...i pretend i am sick and cannot sleep in same room with him and he cry and keep saying I Miss U but Praise God, in the end he managed to sleep alone. On 2nd day, i keep telling the white lies i am sick and if my meter (radiation meter ) jump high..i need to go out so i won't pass my infection to him. Yes, he believe in my white lies and agreed nurse to change his diaper. Phew.. 2nd and 3rd day ...My ah boy is well behaved and can be left alone playing his ipads and eat his snacks. Me only go in and out feeding him meals and bath him. On the 4th day , his radiation level had reached to safe level and he can transferred to orchard for his high dose chemo + transplant. Praise God, my ah boy cooperated and me and edmund radiation were kept at safe level.

On 9th april...i received a wonderful news from edison doctor nurse. Msg: edison bone marrow report is  out!! Bm biopsy results for both left and right samples are negative for neuroblastoma. His bone marrow is cleared!! Thks u for the powerful prayers and unconditional love from my CG members. Feel soo blessed to know them. Edmund and me had waited for this news since after chemo 2, 4 and 6. Finally we got to hear it before he did his stemcell transplant. After edison surgery, we had undergo a difficult situation to stay at kkh or to switch. We follow our hearts and peace and chosen mount E. Our biggest worries was edison bone marrow not able to clear before he do stemcell transplant if we choose Mount E .  Once again, God never disappoint us! We had made the right decision to switch bcos: edison schedule is on time and no delay. Tis is the best treatment plan edison had. If we stayed in kkh.. edison treatment will be delayed. At this moment , edison is admitted for his stemcell transplant in mount E  today. If we stay in kkh, at this moment.. will still be planning dates for harvesting, dental extraction and Q for rooms for stemcell transplant. Y i keep stressing on Time..is bcos Neuroblastoma is an aggressive cancer. Hence Time is an important element. Thank you God for leading me to make the right decision. Last but not least:  I will always remember this  incident:  I was very devastated when edison bone marrow is not cleared after his 4th chemo  and this myanmar  kkh registrar doc told me " sometimes there is a limit what God can done". Now i really feel like telling her and whole world...God creates miracles and there is nothing God cannot do!!! Edison is his walking testimony. Praise God!!

Tears flow down my cheek when i saw this poster.  100% agreed!! This is exactly what edison is going through.  Other parents can boast and say their kids are the best in this and that , but I frankly feel we are the ones who have every right to be proud of our very precious children. They fight cancer to fight for their life. How can anything else compare to that?

Edison was admitted for his 7th chemo on 31th mar. Praise God!! He answer my prayers. Edison had the least side effects during and post chemo. As edison next treatment will be 35days inpatient treatment, i shifted bk to my kovan home with edison after his 7th chemo. Spent 10days at kovan home with my all my kids. Super enjoy tis moment. . Now i finally understand tis verse" don't take things for granted". Eversince from edison 1st chemo..edison and me had shifted to my brother in law place cos edison immunity is low and we are afraid he kena infection. . It had been 6months we are away from kovan. .miss my 2 kids badly.  Feel soo guilty that me never take care them. Lucky God bless me with responsible maid, wonderful neighbour and great family and friends support.. i can solely focus on edison. Thank you, God!! 

30th march edison attended rocks kids

Edison love rocks kids. Whenever his counts are good, i will bring him to rocks kids. He love the worshipping soo much that he always looking forward for sunday!! Really love tis change in him. Teacher Nancy(pic above)  is the one he love most .. always asked me to check her location ( mbs or the stars) cos he wan to see her. I am very happy to know her too. Through her unconditional love and support... i really dun feel alone fighting tis battle. i feel loved by all God children. Really love New Creation Church to my max!!

29th Mar universal studio again

On edison request , we went Universal Studio again on 29th  mar Sat. It was packed !! I am really touched by the staffs of universal studio who give us priority Q bcos of edison condition. Want to say a Big Thanks U to all the staffs of Universal studio. Bcos of ur kind gestures, edison managed to sit all his rides in our 5hour trip. And he was super super happy. But when the fireworks finished.. he was sad again and asked me when can we come again. I promised him will buy him annual ticket when his treatment is over and me will bring him  come unlimited times.

After stemcell harvesting....edison white blood counts ( immunity) is good and we brought him to the church gathering to meet and say priceless thanks for  church members for always praying for him. He enjoyed it very much and looking forward for the next one. I still remember edison used to be a stubborn, fiery temper and cranky boy. I believe this is the 1st impression he had given to the church member on their 1st visit to geylang. He cried and cried and super cranky when they interrupted his cartoon. But after he received Jesus and holy spirits had guided him very well..he had totally changed now. Always asked me to say thanks prayer to daddy God for his energy food, say prayers whenever he feel pain, always asked me to laid my hands on his stomach when in pain,  always pray to daddy God when he he wants something ( but his somethings is no longer presents but brand new healthy body, angels to surround him, jesus to protect him, cancer free, no devils, no stomach pain and no vomiting and give him peace). Praise God for his 360 degree change and i really love tis brand new Jesus children  Edison !!

20th mar amanda birthday party!

It Party again!! 20th march is amanda party and we had party again at geylang house. This round..our party is getting slightly bigger. Especially invited huiling family to join in the fun!! ( the creator and baker of amanda rainbow cake and edison rainbow mini cupcake). The children had enjoyed themselves. The most touching is when edison say his wish. He say " I wish Jesus will protect me and angels will surround me" Praise God!! The holy spirits had guided him very well and it had encouraged me!!

Edison was admitted on 23th mar for his stemcell harvest. He had a minor surgery 30mins on 24th to set the plug/line on his body. Stemcell harvest work like dialysis.. Blood is drawn out to the tube and  sent to the aphaeresis machine where the stem cells are separated and the the remaining blood is sent back into the the body by the tube. 1st day harvesting result outcome is not favourable and not enuff stemcell collected. Hence the doctor request for a whopping $14k miracle Mozobil injection to boost up his white blood count in 12hrs. After injection, His white blood count can jumped from 33 to 68 overnite. After 3days stemcells harvesting... Yes!yes!yes!... doctor had collected more than enuff stemcell for his upcoming transplant treatnent. Had collected 2.5 stemcells  and only need 2.0 stemcells. Hence 0.5 can be kept as backup!! PRAISE God for the successful stemcell harvesting!!
